SARAH O’CONNELL, LICSW

Sarah O’Connell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. Sarah completed her MSW at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a concentration in health care. Sarah works with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and substance abuse in both individuals and in group settings. In addition to private practice Sarah provides clinical supervision at a non-profit psychiatric crisis program.

Sarah’s counseling style is warm and interactive. Her approach combines humanistic, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based techniques such as i-rest ® as well as trauma interventions such as EMDR. Sarah also incorporates creative expression through a variety of nonverbal methods. Sessions and dialogue are tailored to meet your unique and specific needs. When in-person sessions can resume more regularly Sarah is excited to incorporate pet therapy and utilize her certification in Animal Human Health.
