CATIE GREENE, PHD, LPC
Catie believes that people are resourceful and that throughout our lives we create strategies to manage and survive our circumstances. Therapy with Catie means having the space to be curious and explore your current strategies, understand where and how they developed, and to identify which you’d like to adjust to better align to your current life circumstances and what is important to you. Catie believes that therapy is just one of many ways a person can work on their healing but recognizes it as an enormously valuable space and feels honored to able to share that experience with clients.
Catie offers a relational-cultural approach to therapy. This means she will show up authentically and support you towards your goals through understanding your values, cultural context, and what is important to you.
Catie has experience working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, body image and substance use concerns, and trauma. Catie particularly welcomes working with individuals exploring sexual orientation and gender as intersected with their relational, racial, ethnic, religious, spiritual, professional, and other cultural identities.
Catie has a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from The College of William & Mary and currently is seeing clients who reside in DC, VA, and NY.
